It was a big night last month when the lovely Chelsea Staub,

and Nicole Anderson of JONAS,

were joined by Vanessa Hudgens

at the grand opening of World of Color at Disney’s California Adventure.

And I have to say, WOC is an amazing show. I went to see it myself and it is simply indescribeable.

I’d post the video, but it’s nearly 30 minutes and youtube won’t let me upload it in one piece.

Of course, nothing is as pretty as Chelsea Staub on King Triton’s Carousel of the Sea

Friends for Change is so stupid. Remember the Happy Helpers club from Wizards? That’s what Friends for Change is.
Anyway, we’re coming up on the one year anniversary of the program, and Disney’s issues a press release about the pledges they’ve gotten so far and what they plan to do going forward.
They also just released a new Friends For Change group picture.

There’s no Miley, no Emily, and no Selena. But they did make sure to include the Disney XD kids. WTF?
Anyway, Disney Press Release Follows:
DISNEY’S FRIENDS FOR CHANGE: PROJECT GREEN KEEPS ON GROWING!
YEAR TWO LAUNCHES WITH NEW VIDEOS FROM DISNEY STARS
AND KID-FRIENDLY WAYS TO SAVE THE PLANET
Nearly 2 Million Promises from Kids to Help the Planet;
2 Million Dollars Donated by Disney to Environmental Charities
May 26, 2010 — Burbank, Calif. — What a difference a year can make, for the planet and for kids! Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green is celebrating its one-year anniversary with the premiere of all-new content. Starting May 30, new on-air messages will begin airing on Disney Channel and Disney XD. They feature nearly 40 Disney stars, including the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, as well as young environmental heroes. The spots will also be featured on Radio Disney and the recently redesigned program website, www.Disney.com/projectgreen.
A Program with Purpose
The aim of this ambitious movement is to empower children to take charge when it comes to the environment, whether it’s their own piece of the planet or a big picture approach.
"With Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green, kids are discovering that helping the planet is easy and fun when they work together and have the right tools,"¯ said Jennifer Anopolsky, senior vice president, Corporate Responsibility, The Walt Disney Company. "In just one year, participation has exceeded our wildest expectations, and we’re building on that momentum by extending Friends for Change to kids in other parts of the world and enhancing the program with fresh new content, local community events, and more grant money that will empower kids with even more ways to get involved."¯
Twelve months after the launch of Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green, kids have made nearly two million personal promises to change their daily routines, from unplugging electrical devices when not in use to taking shorter showers.
Kids can also go global with their votes on where to allocate Disney grant money. As a result, one million dollars in grants from Disney are now supporting 25 critical environmental projects around the world.
With the new videos and web content debuting May 30, young people will learn even more ways to recycle, save water, help habitats and reduce energy consumption. They will also have the opportunity to again vote on how another $1 million in grants will support worthy environmental causes throughout the year.
Kids Making a Difference
Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green is setting the pace for environmental initiative. With nearly two million promises, kids have pledged to:
"¢Cut 70,000 tons of carbon emissions annually
"¢Reduce/recycle 2.4 million pounds of trash annually
"¢Save 120 million gallons of water per month
Kids are also learning about the power of their vote. Thanks to their input, Disney has donated more than one million dollars to 25 environmental projects in 15 countries, including:
"¢$50,000 to the National Resource Council to help fund a forest restoration project in Costa Rica.
"¢$25,000 to the African Wildlife Foundation to help protect elephant habitats in Zambia.
Kids can turn their own local environmental project into a reality. Disney’s Friends for Change grants, in collaboration with Youth Service America, provide seed money to help get them started. The next call for grant applications opens June 7. To date, these grants have positively influenced nearly 8,000 kids. See http://www.youthserviceamerica.org/grants/programs/friends-for-change for more information.
Kids can also help raise money through iTunes downloads of Disney’s Friends for Change anthems "Send It On"¯ and "Make a Wave."¯ At last count, nearly 700-thousand dollars, representing 100-percent of download proceeds, have been contributed to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. (www.disney.com/conservation)
Full Speed Ahead
Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green is set expand locally and globally in the coming year:
"¢Local events in cities across the country will inspire kids through hands-on experiences, including tree-planting and clean-ups. The first event kicks off June 6th, World Oceans Day, at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
"¢Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green launched last month in Latin America. Kids have already made more than 200,000 promises! European markets are next in line.
About Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green
Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green is a multi-platform initiative that empowers kids to help the planet. Through the program, kids learn practical ways to help the environment, get their friends involved, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to help Disney decide how to divide $1 million in annual donations to various environmental causes. Kids can join for free at www.Disney.com/projectgreen

I haven’t posted any new pics of Chelsea Staub in a while, so here’s some cute shots from a recent LA photoshoot.

Look, no bra! Not that she really needs one, but still.

Either way, she’s adorable.

Absolutely adorable.

Almost makes me eager to see her in the new season of JONAS.

We already know that Disney has renamed JONAS to JONAS LA.

Last week (05/06/10) Nicole Anderson let us know via Twitter that they’ve wrapped the season.
That’s a wrap. Season 2, it was a pleasure working with you. Wow.
So, any thoughts on season three? LOL
I guess Nicole and Chelsea are unemployed now.
Okay, that’s not true. Nicole still has a role on ABC Family’s Make it or Break It. It’s the only ABC Family show I watch (hot girls in lotards? heck yeah. ) that hasn’t been cancelled.

And Chelsea Staub has that new Fish Hooks cartoon. Overly Dramatic Goldfish FTW!

Still, I think Chelsea may miss the view from her dressing room.

Of course, just because the girls are on the beach, in bikinis, doesn’t mean we actually get to see anything.

Nicole, why must you tease us so?
Well, I’ll forgive you. Especially since you posted this pic of you and Chelsea…

…and ya both look so darn cute.
Anyway, here’s to another season of a show with exactly two good parts

They changed the name! The series formerly JONAS is now JONAS L.A. – Wow. That’s definitely gonna fix everything. LOL

Disney has a lot banking on this series and on the JoBros in general.
It looks like they really are shaking things up for the second season; ditching the sets of the first and filming the entire second season on location in LA.
I wouldn’t hold my breath for season three…
Disney Press Release follows:
KEVIN, JOE AND NICK SET OUT FOR A SUMMER OF FUN IN THE CITY
OF ANGELS WITH THE SEASON PREMIERE OF “JONAS L.A.,”
SUNDAY, JUNE 20 ON DISNEY CHANNEL
New Jonas Brothers music, a new So-Cal setting and a new serialized comedy format mark Season Two of the Teen Choice Award-winning series “JONAS,” newly named “JONAS L.A.,” premiering SUNDAY, JUNE 20 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. It stars pop culture superstars Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas, Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson. The Jonas Brothers also star in the short-form series “Jonas Brothers Living the Dream 2,” which gives viewers unprecedented access to their lives on stage and off during their European tour, and in the contemporary movie musical, “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” premiering Friday, September 3 on Disney Channel.
For its first season, “JONAS” was TV’s #1 program among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, and was cable’s #1 program in Total Viewers (3.4 million) in its Sunday time period. For 2009, it was in cable’s Top 10 programs among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.
The “JONAS L.A.” episodes showcase music performances and fuse clever comedy with an authentic portrayal of a band of brothers navigating new waters. Recurring guest stars include Debi Mazar, Adam Hicks, Abby Pivaronas and Beth Crosby and fan favorites Rob Feggans and Frankie Jonas.
For Season Two, the production has gone stage-less and is produced entirely on location around Los Angeles. New executive producers Lester Lewis (Emmy winner, “The Office”) and Paul Hoen (“Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam”) have joined in on the fun, as “JONAS L.A.” takes each of the three brothers in different directions and brings them back together for a chorus of fun.
The all-new 13-song soundtrack includes “L.A. Baby (Where Dreams Are Made Of),” “Chillin’ in the Summertime” and “Your Biggest Fan.”
The second season of fun delves into individual storylines as Kevin, Joe and Nick - and their security chief, Big Man - are fresh off their world concert tour and ready for a summer vacation in a rental house high atop the Hollywood Hills. As they begin their left coast adventure, two familiar faces, Stella and Macy, join them and wind up sharing a nearby guesthouse with Stella’s aunt Lisa. Now, the five friends take off on a summer of fun, especially after they meet their gregarious neighbor, DZ.
Despite months of anticipation, Joe and Stella encounter detours on the road to “Joella,” mainly since he’s met free-spirited actress Vanessa Page, who’s helping him pursue his acting ambition. After auditioning in a room filled with “Joes,” he lands a role in Vanessa’s new movie, and their mercurial working relationship quickly spurs rumors of “Jonessa.” While on the movie set, Kevin gets his long sought chance to learn film directing, and manages to steer around the abrasive manner of his mentor, famed director Mona Klein. Meanwhile, Nick writes new songs for the band and is pleasantly surprised by his growing friendship with Macy, which makes him want to prove he’s more than just a world famous rock star.
“JONAS L.A.” stars Kevin Jonas as Kevin Lucas, Joe Jonas as Joe Lucas, Nick Jonas as Nick Lucas, Chelsea Staub (Disney Channel’s “StarStuck”) as Stella Malone and Nicole Anderson (ABC Family’s “Make It or Break It”) as Macy Misa. Recurring guest stars are Debi Mazar (“Entourage”) as Mona Klein, Adam Hicks (of Disney XD’s “Zeke and Luther”) as DZ, Abby Pivaronas (“Lincoln Heights”) as Vanessa Page, Rob Feggans as Big Man, Frankie Jonas as Frankie Lucas, and Beth Crosby (“All My Children”) as Aunt Lisa.
“JONAS L.A.” is executive-produced by Lester Lewis and Paul Hoen. The series was created by Roger S.H. Schulman and Michael Curtis. The series is an It’s A Laugh Production in association with Disney Channel. It carries a TV-G parental guideline.

So Chelsea Staub is like the most amazing person alive. Or at least on Twitter.
This tweet really made my Easter: “The Easter Bunny came down the chimney and took all my eggs. Now I can’t have children.” I was literally bursting into laughter all day.
My family thought I was nuts. But they already did, so I guess that’s no big.

But as you can tell, she is really serious about her Easter eggs.
She also “broke the news story about the [Easter] earthquake in AZ! http://bit.ly/aojzLo” and wrote “The Southwest terminal is playing Carole King’s ‘I Feel The Earth Move’ while I wait to board my flight back to Califonia. Poor taste?”
I tell ya, this past Easter was all about Chelsea.
But it doesn’t end there. She also showed us her new iPad:

Yeah, my mom wouldn’t buy me one of those either. LOL
And then, just now, she wrote: “#fallinginlove is hard on the knees.”
And after pondering what that could mean, she added: “Okay, ew. Not like THAT.”
LOL! I would mind her, well, ya know.
Chelsea Staub really is more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Especially Monkey’s at Disneyland.

I may have to make this Chelsea twitter wrap-up a regular feature.

We’ve known for a few weeks that Chelsea and Nicole are back to work on JONAS, but I thought I would post the press release for anyone that hasn’t seen it already.

It looks like they’re giving the series a bit of a “reboot” – probably in response to season one’s sub-par ratings.
PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN ON THE SECOND SEASON OF DISNEY CHANNEL’S
HIT COMEDY SERIES “JONAS,” STARRING MULTI-PLATINUM RECORDING ARTISTS JONAS BROTHERS
–Debi Mazar and Adam Hicks Join in Recurring Roles–
Production has begun in and around Los Angeles on the second season of the Teen Choice Award-winning comedy series, “JONAS,” starring global sensations Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas and popular actresses Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson. The new season finds the Lucas brothers and friends Stella and Macy spending a summer in Hollywood.
In Season Two of “JONAS,” rock stars Kevin, Joe and Nick Lucas have landed in Los Angeles, where they have rented a Hollywood Hills house and will experience a summer like no other when their relaxing vacation turns into three life-changing opportunities: Joe lands a prized role in a big Hollywood film, Kevin indulges his newfound passion for the movie business by shadowing a famous director, and Nick takes up surfing and feverishly works on his first passion - writing songs for the new JONAS album. Completing the entourage are the guys’ best friends, Stella Malone, who continues to grapple with being more than just a friend to Joe, and Macy Misa, who keeps all the fans up to date with her JONAS V-log.
Recurring guest stars are Debi Mazar (“Entourage”) as Mona, the mercurial and eccentric film director at the helm of the movie Joe stars in; Adam Hicks (of Disney XD’s “Zeke and Luther”) as DZ, the brothers’ posturing neighbor; and Abby Pivaronas (“Lincoln Heights”) as Vanessa Page, Joe’s beautiful movie co-star. Chaperoning the fun are the Lucas Brothers’ friend and chief of security, Big Man (played by Jonas Brothers’ real-life chief of security, Rob Feggans), and Stella’s Aunt Lisa, played by Beth Crosby (“All My Children”). Throughout the season, “JONAS” will feature all-new original songs performed by Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas.
“JONAS” is executive-produced by Lester Lewis (“The Office,” “The Larry Sanders Show”) and Paul Hoen (director and co-producer of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” DGA Award-winning director of “Jump In!,” and “The Cheetah Girls One World,” among others). The series was created by Roger S.H. Schulman and Michael Curtis.

Remember the Feb highlights post? It looks like Disney’s gonna start giving us monthly highlights.
March is gonna be a big month for DC Fans, starting with a special Suite Life on Deck.
“Once Upon a Suite Life” - During Ms. Tutweiler’s history lesson, Zack, Cody and London fall asleep and dream of themselves in classic fairy tales. London dreams that she is the evil witch trying to poison Snow White (Bailey), so she can be the fairest in the land; Cody imagines he and Zack are Hansel and Gretel as they get lost in the forest and find a candy cottage and Ms. Tutweiler, a witch; and Zack dreams of Jack and the Beanstalk, in which he trades the family cow for magic beans, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 5 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Then March 14th is a huge day, with the previously announced Hannah Montana S3 finale, and the Premiere of Sonny with a Chance Season two
“Walk A Mile In My Pants” - Sonny rallies everyone together for a “Walk-A-Thon For Books” and gets Tawni to donate her “Tawni Hart’s Extreme Skinny Jeans” for all of the participants to wear. Eventually everyone starts dropping out as a result of SPS – Skinny Pants Syndrome, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
It will be followed by a new JONAS, which is surprising. I thought they already used up all the S1 episodes. And there’s no way they could be done with a S2 episode already.
“Exam Jam” - As the JONAS World Concert Tour draws closer, Joe and Stella come to terms with being apart from one another over the summer. Meanwhile Kevin and Joe devise a plan to help Nick ace his geometry test after their dad threatens not to send the brothers on tour unless they pass all their school exams, in “JONAS,” premiering SUNDAY, MARCH 14 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
After that epic weekend, we get a new Wizards of Waverly Place.
“Detention Election” - Justin’s chances at becoming Student Body President are put in jeopardy after someone wallpapers Principal Laritate’s office with posters from Justin’s campaign and he is accused of masterminding the prank. Meanwhile, Alex befriends Stevie, a rebellious new girl in school, and Jerry, Max and Harper get stuck on a Ferris wheel during their trip to Coney Island in “Wizards of Waverly Place,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 19 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
And a new On Deck. This series must be nearing the end of the season, although I haven’t checked exactly how many more remain.
“Marriage 101″ - Ms. Tutweiler assigns her students a project where they must act like married couples and manage a household. Cody and Bailey are the quintessential perfect couple, and Zack and London make a surprisingly good couple too. When Woody and Addison have a child - Marcus - they learn how difficult adult life can be, in a new episode of “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiering FRIDAY, MARCH 19 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
And then we’ll wrap up the month with two more new Sonny with a Chance episodes.
“Sonny Get Your Goat” - When Sonny and Tawni learn the “Check It Out Girls” sketch is popular in Glendovia, Marshall arranges for an exchange program, not realizing that the Glendovians think the girls are real check-out girls and want them to be cashiers for a store’s grand opening. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady wear mustaches to fit in with their Glendovian exchange student, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 21 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
And
“Gassie Passes” - When the cast of “So Random!” finds out they are starring in a new movie based on their “Gassie” sketches, Demi showers the pup with affection by giving him too many dog treats. When Gassie passes out, the cast fears the worst, only to discover that Sonny’s treats caused Gassie to fall ill. Meanwhile, Nico and Grady receive money from a secret investor, who turns out to be Dakota Condor, to mass produce the Gassie lunch boxes that Zora invented, in a new episode of “Sonny With A Chance,” SUNDAY, MARCH 28 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Of course, Jennifer Stone’s new movie “Harriet the Spy: The Blog Wars” also premieres this month on the 26th. But no one cares about that.
